When I first started my adventure as a B&B owner, I already knew in my heart that it was going to be a good fit for me.  As a kid, and the baby of 4 children, I was always the one who wanted everyone to be happy…I mean can’t we all just get along?  Growing up, my father was basically a short-order cook for us kids, making something different for each of us for breakfast….after all, while serving in our nation’s Navy, he had the honor of cooking for his commanding officers, and that later carried over into his family life.  I understand now that in watching my dad cook like that for all of us through the years, that his passion for food and cooking wasn’t just about the food, but more of showing care and appreciation for those around him.

I’ve carried that same attribute into my adult years, and I’ve realized that cooking and entertaining guests for family dinners and dinner clubs isn’t just fun for me, but it’s a love language.  I mean, we’ve all heard the saying “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, right?  Well, turns out, that’s true for pretty much anyone with taste buds.

Through the years, I have certainly developed a passion for cooking…and being that I’ve been in the music and entertainment industry since I was 9 years old, I understand the need for making folks feel good through food, and good ole visiting.  Even when I’ve had a full house of guests here at the B&B, I’ve honestly loved just listening and watching how total strangers find common ground, and joy in conversation.

There’s been a lot of good conversation, music and happiness had here, with several guests along the way having become great friends.  We consider ourselves blessed by those first meetings, and the relationships that have since followed…friendships that will endure the rest of our lives.
