An Introduction From Your Hosts
Mike and I were both born and raised in the south. I am a native Arkansan while Mike was born in Memphis and has lived in many different states in the south due to his father being in the Air Force. Although I have lived in Kansas, Florida, and California, my roots are southern and I ended back up here in my home state permanently in 2004 when I met Mike.
We purchased Prospect Place in 2013, and after renovations to the kitchen, third floor living space, and our office, we opened for business in late summer 2013. Mike is a driver for FedEx Freight and has worked for them for 25 years, and I have a B.S. in Health Information Management and have 25 years of healthcare management and experience.
I am a member of the Theta PI chapter of the national Beta Sigma PHI sorority. I enjoy road trips and searching out Roadside America oddities, and collecting, wearing and selling vintage clothing and items on Etsy. Mike enjoys, landscaping, grilling outdoors, and road trips. Mike has two daughters and 6 grandchildren. We have 5 dogs who live on the premises in restricted areas. We have a 12 yr. old Vizsla, a 9 yr. old puggle, 2 male pugs, and a min pin. 2 of our pets are rescued and we love volunteering our time to help out pets in need. We enjoy entertaining and cooking which makes owning a bed and breakfast the ideal dream job for us.
We are open full-time for guests. We provide a clean, comfortable stay in our historic home and we look forward to meeting new friends and seeing repeat customers. We have enjoyed visiting with our guests from all over the world. We are motorcycle friendly and have covered parking if you let us know in advance.
You may email or call us if you have any questions. Feel free to read our reviews on Trip Advisor, we were the #1 bed and breakfast in Hot Springs for the entire year of 2016 and we have received the Certificate of Excellence 3 years in a row.
We look forward to meeting you and hope we can make your stay a special one here at the Prospect Place in Hot Springs Arkansas.
Hope to see you soon,
Mike & Kelly Ward
